Thu 4th April- Wear Vintage Bazaar- Spring time’s new vintage arrivals are available for purchase today. Hundreds of cool 70s, 80s and 90 pieces can be found. Abel Nagengast and Tako Reyenga will on the decks playing music throughout the event. Location: LaDoze, Vilara 1 & Siggrou, from 5-11pm.

Tue 9th to April to Fri 31st May – Herta Muller: The Viscous Circle of Words- A photo exhibit that outlines the life and work of writer and Nobel Prize Winner for Literature, Herta Muller. The exhibit follows her from her childhood in the Romanian Banat to the Nobel Prize ceremony. Location: Goethe-Institue, Vassilissis Olgas 66, Mon-Fri 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm. Entrance is free!

Fri 5th April- Tiger Lillies- A cult British musical trio described as the forefathers of Brechtian Punk Caberet. The Tiger Lillies are known for their unique sound and style which merges the macabre magic of pre-war Berlin with the savage edge of punk. Location: Principal Club Theater, Georgiou Andreou, at 9pm. Tickets are 23 Euro.

Fri 5th to Sat 27th April- Dynamo Project- Continuing in the series of exhibitions, Dynamo introduces the first solo exhibition of George Geronidis. He incorporates details from his surroundings, symbols from his everyday life, to create storylines. He draws inspiration from his home country of Cyprus, but also from Thessaloniki where he went to school. Location: Dynamo project-space, Tipou 5, Tues-Frid 6pm-9pm & Sat 1pm-5pm.

Fri 5th April – Sign Up to Run The Alexander the Great Race- You can run for a good cause by signing up to run for Desmos, a non-profit organization created to address the humanitarian crisis that Greece is experience and to help create sustainable networks of solidarity and social and responsibility. You can run a 1km (5euro), 5km (5euro), 10km (10euro) or marathon (20euro). If you want to run for Desmos please sign up on line at: http://desmos.org. Sing up deadline is Friday, April 5!

Fri 5th April – The Speakeaseis Swing Band Live- Formed in 2010, The Speakeasies’ Swing Band has been performing throughout Thessaloniki and Europe. This very popular Greek Swing Band will be performing their hits this weekend! Location: Floral, Themistokleus 80, at 10pm. Entrance is 10 Euro!

Wed 10th April- Be Part of the Solution: Activism, Creative Participation, and Democracy- The next in a series of Inspiration Xchange events is a workshop which will look into activism and democracy and will come up with solutions and ideas to initiate and sustain change through new media, campaigning and education. Guest speakers will be Kostas Kallergis, Damian Mac Con Uladh and Keerfa. Location: ACT, Bissell Library, from 5-8pm.
